CHILTERN HILLS GOLF CLUB

Chorleywood

Transport Statements-Origin Transport Planning -UK

Origin Transport Consultants Ltd were commissioned by Savills to prepare a Transport Statement in support of a planning application at Chiltern Hills Golf Club, Chorleywood.

The site has an extant planning permission for an 18-hole golf course and clubhouse. There are 9-holes of the golf course completed and the application was to retain 9-holes and provide a driving range and football pitches on the remaining part of the site.

Origin prepared a Transport Statement that considered access to the site by all modes of transport and the impact of traffic on the safety and capacity of the local highway network. We provided a description of the local conditions in respect of the highway network including analysis of Personal Injury Collision (PIC) data, a review of relevant planning policy, description of the proposed development, trip generation and the predicted net transport impact of the proposed development.

In particular for this project we needed to demonstrate the level of parking proposed was sufficient. For this we carried out a parking accumulation exercise to establish the likely demand for parking for the proposed development during peak operation.

Planning consent has now been granted.
