PUBLIC INQUIRIES

The Public Inquiry is the most formal of the appeal procedures and often involves larger or more complex developments.

 

The Inquiry process involves expert witnesses presenting evidence for their side, with the opportunity of cross examination from the opposing side.

 

The Inspector will lead the Inquiry and will listen to responses given during any cross examination as well as considering evidence put forward in written Proofs of Evidence produced by both sides.
