BURYFIELD CAR PARK
Buryfield, Buckinghamshire

Origin Transport Consultants Ltd were commissioned by Chiltern District Council to look at the existing layout and access arrangements of the Buryfield Car Park and investigate whether the layout could be altered to avoid coaches reversing adjacent to a park.

Great Missenden is home to the Roald Dahl museum and the car park is used by coaches dropping and collecting visitors to the museum.

We conducted a swept path analysis and established that, with the current layout, there was insufficient space for coaches to exit without reversing. A number of options were tested, and Origin provided two solutions which included the creation of a second vehicular access with a one-way circulatory system within the site or a small extension of the car park to provide sufficient space for turning.

Origin have provided highways and transportation advice on the proposals including;
