Origin worked with Kier Living on their development in Steeple Claydon in Buckinghamshire.
Located in a village setting and only a 10 minute walk away from Stoke Mandeville train station is the Kier Living development of Steeple View located in Steeple Claydon, the development comprises of 90 dwellings, medical centre and a convenience store.
We provided layout review and design advice which identified any issues with the site layout and usability of the roads and footways including advice in relation to the recent DfT announcements about the use of shared surfaces and Buckinghamshire Council's position in this respect. We considered emergency vehicle access and the requirements for refuse collection and other deliveries. The visibility splay requirements at all internal junctions and parking space accesses was considered. The aim of this element of the work was to achieve a layout that is design standard compliant and practical to use.
The scheme received no objection from Buckinghamshire Council Highways and the application was approved in October 2020. The development is now under construction.
