Origin Transport Consultants Ltd were commissioned by Dinmore Aggregates Ltd to prepare a Transport Assessment in support of a planning application for a sand and gravel quarry off Haywood Lane, north of Hereford, Herefordshire. The site is currently in agricultural use.

​

The A49 is a strategic road linking Ross on Wye to Liverpool via Hereford, Leominster and Shrewsbury. Origin successfully demonstrated that safety and capacity of the A49/Haywood Lane Ghost Island priority junction would not be negatively affected by the proposals.

The application has received no Highways objection from the Local Highways Authority and National Highways.
